Coffee holds a prominent place in global
culture due to its energizing properties, largely attributed to
caffeine. Many people start their day with a cup to kickstart their alertness,
and coffee consumption often shapes daily routines and social
interactions. Preferences vary significantly; for instance, while
some enjoy the boldness of a traditional espresso, others might prefer
the indulgence of a flavored macchiato or a frothy
cappuccino. Coffee culture also varies by region: in Turkey, coffee is traditionally
brewed in a pot called a cezve and served strong and unfiltered,
whereas in Scandinavia, the concept of "fika" encourages
taking a break with coffee and pastries. However, excessive coffee intake
can lead to negative effects like sleep disturbances or heightened anxiety.
Recently, trends have increasingly focused on artisanal and ethically
sourced coffee, reflecting a broader movement towards sustainability
and high-quality products. (139 words)
