Making
decisions is an important part of life and work. It means choosing the best
option from different choices. There are various ways to make decisions. Sometimes,
people make rational decisions. This means they use facts and logical
thinking. Other times, people make intuitive decisions, which are
based on feelings or gut instinct. At work, one person can decide, or a
group can decide together. Each way has pros and cons. Bias can
also affect decisions. For example, confirmation bias is when people
only look for information that supports what they already believe. (93 words)

Overconfidence
means people think they are better than they really are so they feel their
decisions are better. Anchoring bias happens when people focus too much
on the first piece of information they see. Risk is another important part of
decision-making. Some people don’t like risk and try to avoid it. Others are
more comfortable with taking risks. A person’s personality also matters.
Careful people often take more time to decide. Risk-takers decide faster
and don’t always think about the results. (81 words)
